Do you want to write?

Personal Critique Service:Following several creative writing and non fiction writing workshops I have been invited to host, I began to receive enquiries asking if I offered a critique service for people with little or no experience of writing for publication. I tentatively agreed to offer the service to a handful of clients and since then I have built up a client base solely via word of mouth.

"I've just secured my first paid freelance writing job, so thank you for helping me get here."

J.T. Allerton

A critique must, in my opinion focus not only on the negative but also on the positive. If you request a critique from me, you will get an honest appraisal of your work covering everything from characterisation and dialogue to opening and closing paragraphs. I will also at times offer suggestions to text changes, if I feel it will help the flow of the text, but in the end any changes are solely down to the author. I am a firm believer in helping writers to develop rather than crush their dreams; this said unlike some services I will not repond with gushing praise that is unfounded in an attempt to secure further work, I will always offer honest and helpful advice.

"I will always be grateful for your advice and the help you gave me."

Peter. J. Moore

The critique service is available for writers of both fiction and non-fiction, however non-fiction appraisals are restricted to biography and potential magazine articles only, academic and specialist studies will not be considered.

"Thank you for the encouragement you have given me, I can now see the way forward."

Mrs. E. Bell
